Goals:
Disseminate scientific studies on Traditional Medicine and
contemplative practices. On the other hand, there are evidences that Traditional Medicines can contribute to prevent and treat many diseases, especially those considered of chronic nature such as atherosclerosis, rheumatic and inflammatory conditions, high cholesterol, asthma, diabetes, cancer, and digestive diseases, among others. In several parts of India and Nepal, and also in the West, there are clinics offering these treatments.
Themes: 1) From tradition to scientific evidence: Traditional Medicine.
2) The treatment of chronic diseases and other conditions in Traditional Medicine.
3) Contemplative practices for mental and physical health.
4) Dealing with destructive emotions: the role of training in compassion.

Foreign guests: Bangalore Nanjundaiah Gangadhar: Head of the Psychiatry Department of the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (India). Author of several scientific articles on psychiatry and on the effects of yoga practice.
Shirley Anne Telles: Principal Investigator, Indian Council of Medical Research Center for Advanced Research in Yoga and Neurophysiology-Swami Vivekananda Yoga University (India), and author of several scientific articles on Ayurveda and Yoga. (confirmed)
Pema Dorjee: Tibetan medical doctor and technical advisor of the Research and Development Department - Tibetan Medical and Astrological Institute (India). Also one of the first teachers of the Tibetan Medical and Astrological Institute. He graduated brilliantly under the guidance of the famous Prof. Phuntsok Barshi, and completed his residence with Dr. Yeshi Dhonden, personal physician to His Holiness the Dalai Lama. (confirmed).
